Privacy Policy
Digital Paradise Ltd. (“we”, “us”) is an Ontario corporation based in Toronto, Canada. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
- Details you give us in our forms: name, email, phone, company, website, project details, budget and preferred call time.
- Billing and contact details when you buy hosting, services or apps (card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers).
- Your cookie choice, stored in your own browser.
How we use it
To reply to your request, prepare proposals, deliver and support the services you buy, send invoices and receipts, and — only if you opt in — send occasional tips and offers. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only trusted service providers that help us run the business, such as our web host, our transactional email provider (used to deliver form messages) and our payment processor. Hosting accounts we provide (DPL Hosting) are stored on servers in the United States. Some providers may store data outside Canada; when they do, your information is protected by contract and may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months unless you become a client. Client and billing records are kept as long as required by Canadian tax law.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time, by emailing our Privacy Officer at support@digitalparadise.ca. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Terms of Use
By using this website you agree to use it lawfully. Content, designs, logos and code on this site belong to Digital Paradise Ltd. or their respective owners and may not be copied without permission. Project work is governed by a separate written service agreement, which takes priority over these terms. Prices shown are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise and exclude GST/HST. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
Acceptable Use Policy
Hosting and app accounts may not be used for illegal content, spam, phishing, malware, copyright infringement, harassment or anything that harms our network or other customers. We may suspend accounts that break this policy, and will contact you first whenever reasonably possible.
Payment Policy
Hosting and app subscriptions are billed in advance for each period and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Design and development projects are billed as set out in your proposal, usually with a deposit before work begins. Applicable GST/HST is added to Canadian invoices. Refunds: new hosting plans (monthly, 1-year or 3-year) can be cancelled for a full refund within 30 days of the first payment; domain registration fees are not refundable. After 30 days, payments are not refunded, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Overdue invoices: hosting may be suspended when an invoice is more than 7 days overdue and cancelled after 30 days; we email reminders before either happens. Interac e-Transfer: services start once the transfer is received and matched to your invoice.
Accessibility
We design this website to meet WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines: keyboard navigation, readable contrast, text alternatives and reduced motion for people who prefer it. If anything is hard to use, email support@digitalparadise.ca and we’ll help and fix it.
Copyright / DMCA Policy
If you believe content hosted by us infringes your copyright, email support@digitalparadise.ca with the location of the content, proof that you own the work and your contact details. We follow Canada’s notice-and-notice regime and respond to valid DMCA notices.
These policies are a plain-language summary and are not legal advice. Have them reviewed by a lawyer before relying on them.
